Capitol Hill Walking Tour

You’ll get your chance to discover the famed Capitol Hill. Your experienced personal guide will walk with you, detailing the historical facts related to each building and landmark. In this walking tour, you’ll get a ticket to get inside the Capitol and visit the Rotunda, the Crypt and old house chambers and other areas of the seat of Congress and explore the seat of the legislative and judicial branches of the US Government and its supporting facilities, collectively known as Capitol Hill. Every spot is within walking distance from one another, so you get a chance to see them all with a minimum of time and a minimum of hassle. The area is notable with its distinctive architecture and its rich history of American politics.

You will tour the halls of the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building with a live narration by your guide. If you’re a history buff, you will discover there the largest public collection of knowledge in the world.

Tour will include: Photo opportunity of the East and West plaza of the U.S. Capitol Building, where Presidents Past and Present are innagurated : Including President Garfield Statue, Grant Plaza to see the largest equestrian statue in America, Library of Congress (Exterior View Only,) where you will learn about the Gutenberg Bible why the library has President Lincoln’s silk lined leather wallet, as well as the beautiful Architecture of the Library of Congress. U.S. Supreme Court Building (Exterior View Only.) to learn about our nations highest court and the justices who e help shape its legacy. Tour inside of the U.S. Capitol Building: Visitors will see a minimum of three rooms which may include: (Crypt, Rotunda, National Statuary Hall, Old Supreme Court Chamber, and Old Senate Chamber.) Come see where President Kennedy, Carter, Bush and others have “Lain in State”, see a real Gold Copy of the 1215 Magna Carta, and tour the space where we come to celebrate as a nation. The tour experience will last approximately one hour and forty minutes to two hours
